This. I’ve actually resorted to copying and pasting the same basic responses so I can tell 10 trolls the same thing. This didn't happen before we had this stupid thread system. What's the point of it, to save your scroll wheel finger? Seems pretty cocky to me, like "Wow, we are gonna get SO MANY posts, we need to autocollapse everything. Brace yourself!"

I love the commenters who, despite being correct in 99% of a post, the 1% you get wrong (spelling is in play here) is enough to invalidate everything you say.

Those people should probably spend their time better.

The Gawker family of commenters is approaching Yahoo levels of bad. I usually try to be snarky/funny in solo comments and leave the discourse to the peanut gallery, but sometimes I get sucked into something and end up with 50 notifications telling me how stupid and wrong I am. Internet, man.

Mine usually don’t get that high because I’m OCD about checking them. (I can’t have unread emails or messages in my iPhone. Drives me nuts.)

I’ve had some things on Foxtrot Alpha and Jalopnik take off but it’s usually not for the reason I wanted them to.
